The Black History Floral Crown Series

Have you heard of Floriography? It is the language of flowers. It was created back in the Victorian era when feelings and emotions were not shared openly. So messages were created through the blooms and greenery in bouquets sent between people.

Some flowers have multiple meanings, just like the English language and some meanings have multiple florals and greenery that represent them. Think of it like a secret code!

When I work with clients, I know the piece we are working on is special. Incorporating flowers that have significance is one way to hold those special meanings close to your heart. Here is a short video that I created for the Virtual Creative Pride event on how I work Floriography into my artwork.
